Areo is looking for a great DevOps engineer who want to build, maintain and scale the building information software of the future.
Areo will change the way the world use, operate and maintain the built environment. We do so by helping building owners and operators utilise information in asset information models (AIMs). AIMs combine geometric data, structured data and documents. This means handling large amounts of interconnected data for a diverse set of use cases. Main job description
At Areo we try to automate as much as possible. We do continuous deployment where we push to production daily. GitHub is our main source of truth and everything is triggered by commits to our repository. We believe that containers and microservices will be part of our solution to scale our application and deliver new functionality fast. We treat performance and stability as critical features. You can be a part of bringing our solution to the world.
Qualifications
For us it is more important that you are the right person with the right attitude than having the “correct background”. Formal education and relevant experience is great, but can be compensated for if you are a quick learner.
- Linux / Unix skills
- Javascript / bash or other scripting languages
- Experience with keeping a complex, high-volume web apps running smoothly
- Experience with Docker
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker-Compose or other container orchestration tools
- Experience with running MongoDB, Redis and Elasticsearch or other NoSQL databases
- Interest in immutable infrastructure
- Experience with networks
- Experience working in dynamic team environments with production responsibilities
